Changes Lead to Results
It has been more than 3 years since my cancer diagnosis, I am doing just fine! Doctors have classified my condition as "NED" which means there is no trace of cancer, or “No Evidence of Disease"). Before having cancer, I had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high sugar, and was possibly pre-diabetic. Today, my health and fitness levels are better than ever. The doctors themselves were surprised.
When people ask me, "What has cured you?" I tell them, "God knows". I believes that faith, gratitude, and all the love that everyone has poured generously upon me has contributed to my health and healing. These all keep the cancer dormant within me, and for that I am ever grateful.
With much faith and perseverance to take control of my heath and my body, I continues to live.
Note: This is my personal story. This methodology for fighting and living with cancer is not for everyone. Each of us must dedicate time to adequate research to find our own channels. These 5 lessons are only intended to serve as discussion points for people who are living with cancer, in hopes that we all can continue living a life full of meaning, purpose, and normalcy. Let us learn together and believe in our inherent strengths as we push forth.
[1] In 2007, I had stage two breast cancer. After surgery, chemotherapy and radiation, my body was so depressed. I went on a long trip to recover. During that journey, I wrote 5 memoirs of the trip and named it “Well With Cancer”
